Bison were extremely important to the plains Indians, for they provided everything for survival from tools and weapons, to clothing, food, and housing. Because of its immense size and durability when wounded, the buffalo many times escaped by goring the horse and rider. This bronze depicts all the action of the hunt, with the final outcome left to the judgment of the viewer. 19 x 9 inches, limited edition of 25, $1,900
