"Nborro and Olawaru"© Nborro are the long blue beads worn by this exquisitely
adorned Masai female. This is truly an elegant sculpture with fine
detail. She stands proudly with one hand on her hip and the other
balancing a large decorated gourd on her head. |
| Olawaru or lion's mane headdress,
is the Masai warrior man's most cherished possession, for it proclaims
he has killed a lion. This sculpture compliments Nborro and depicts the
male Masai warrior with his spear and decorated shield, wearing the
olawaru. |
